Tips for Driving an EV in the Hills
Charge before you climbClimbing from Haldwani to Nainital, Almora or Mukteshwar uses much more battery than flat roads. Start every hill drive with a full charge.
Use regenerative brakingLong descents recover energy. Use a higher regen mode on the way down and you will often arrive with more range than expected.
Cold weather reduces rangeIn winter, battery range drops and heaters use extra power. Plan charging stops closer together from November to February.
Install the charger appsMost stations are started from the operator's app, such as Statiq, Tata Power EZ Charge, Jio-bp pulse, ChargeZone, Zeon or Ather Grid. Register before your trip.
