About Chamoli district
Chamoli district holds some of Uttarakhand’s most famous places: Badrinath, the Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib, Auli near Joshimath, Gopeshwar, and the confluences of Nandprayag and Karnaprayag. The Chipko movement began here, in Reni village.
