Salya is a village in Rudraprayag district in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, India. It lies at roughly 1,541 metres above sea level, in the middle hills belt of Garhwal. As the crow flies it is about 109 km from Dehradun and 29 km from Rudraprayag, the district headquarters. The nearest town is Ukhimath (5 km).
About Rudraprayag district
Rudraprayag district is named after the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini. It is the gateway to Kedarnath, with Guptkashi, Sonprayag and Ukhimath along the route, and to Tungnath, Chopta and Deoria Tal.
