Burniad is a village in Uttarkashi district in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, India. It lies at roughly 963 metres above sea level, in the lower river valleys belt of Garhwal. As the crow flies it is about 45 km from Dehradun and 33 km from Uttarkashi, the district headquarters. The nearest town is Barkot (15 km).
