About Bageshwar district

Bageshwar district takes its name from the Bagnath temple at the confluence of the Saryu and Gomti rivers, where the Uttarayani mela is held every January. It includes the Himalayan viewpoint of Kausani and the trailheads for the Pindari, Kafni and Sunderdhunga glaciers.
