Namak (नामक) is a village in Didihat tehsil of Pithoragarh district in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, India. It lies at roughly 2,138 metres above sea level, in the upper hills belt of Kumaon. As the crow flies it is about 113 km from Haldwani and 59 km from Pithoragarh, the district headquarters. The nearest town is Munsiyari (15 km). Didihat tehsil has 218 villages listed on My Haldwani.

About Pithoragarh district
Pithoragarh is Kumaon’s easternmost district, bordering Nepal and Tibet. Besides the Soar valley around Pithoragarh town, it includes Munsiyari, Dharchula, the Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple near Gangolihat and the Kailash Mansarovar route over the Lipulekh pass.
