Simlta (सिमलता) is a village in Gangolihat tehsil of Pithoragarh district in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, India. It lies at roughly 1,153 metres above sea level, in the lower river valleys belt of Kumaon. As the crow flies it is about 72 km from Haldwani and 31 km from Pithoragarh, the district headquarters. The nearest town is Berinag (11 km). Gangolihat tehsil has 328 villages listed on My Haldwani.

About Pithoragarh district
Pithoragarh is Kumaon’s easternmost district, bordering Nepal and Tibet. Besides the Soar valley around Pithoragarh town, it includes Munsiyari, Dharchula, the Patal Bhuvaneshwar cave temple near Gangolihat and the Kailash Mansarovar route over the Lipulekh pass.
