Tal (ताल) is a village in Gairsain tehsil of Chamoli district in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, India. It lies at roughly 1,375 metres above sea level, in the middle hills belt of Garhwal. As the crow flies it is about 129 km from Dehradun and 47 km from Gopeshwar, the district headquarters. The nearest town is Gairsain (8 km). Gairsain tehsil has 229 villages listed on My Haldwani.
