Tingri is a village in Tehri Garhwal district in the Garhwal division of Uttarakhand, India. It is mapped as a hamlet (tok), a small settlement that may belong to a larger revenue village. Tehri Garhwal was the seat of the old Tehri princely state. Today it is known for the Tehri dam lake, New Tehri town, Chamba, the Dhanaulti and Kanatal hills, the Surkanda Devi and Kunjapuri temples, and the Bhilangana and Bhagirathi valleys.
